MOLYKOTE L-2122
Harmonization Code : 3208.20.90 | Paints and varnishes that are dispersed or dissolved in a non aqueous medium
Main features
- Stable ISO VG 220 Gear Lubrication
- Micropitting Protection in Severe Conditions
- High FZG Load-Carrying Performance
Product Description
MOLYKOTE L-2122 Synthetic Gear Oil is an ISO VG 220 PAO synthetic gear oil for enclosed industrial gear drives under demanding load and temperature conditions. Typical kinematic viscosity is 224 cSt at 40 deg C and 24.4 cSt at 100 deg C, with a viscosity index of 136. A sulfur-phosphorous EP additive and corrosion inhibitor support the grade's extreme-pressure role, while thermal and oxidative stability and mechanical shear resistance address demanding gearbox service. The FZG load-stage result is greater than 12 for this spur, helical, bevel, and planetary gear lubricant.
Key features
- ISO VG 220 Load Profile: The PAO formulation provides the specified mid-range viscosity for industrial gear drives.
- Thermal and Shear Stability: The formulation maintains viscosity control in demanding gearbox conditions.
- Greater-Than-12 FZG Stage: The extreme-pressure load-stage result is measured under DIN 51354-2.
Applications
Enclosed industrial spur, helical, bevel and planetary gear drives where the specified viscosity grade is required.
