KANEKA GR6840
Harmonization Code : 3907.30.00.40 | Epoxy Mold Compounds containing by weight more than 70 % silicon dioxide
Main features
- Toughened Wet-Lamination Processing
- High Delamination Resistance
- Thin-to-Thick Composite Part Production
Product Description
Kaneka GR6840 is a toughened epoxy composite resin grade for wet lamination. Initial viscosity is 1,200 mPa*s at 77 deg F, and working life is 50 minutes before viscosity doubles. The cure temperature is 176 deg F (80 deg C). Cured-system data include an 81 deg C glass transition temperature, 123 MPa flexural strength, and 2.9 GPa flexural modulus. The grade resists delamination and can be used for thin or thick laminated parts. This product is the epoxy resin grade only; a curing agent is not included.
Key features
- Toughened lamination resin: The epoxy grade is formulated for wet lamination.
- Delamination resistance: The cured composite system provides resistance to delamination.
- Thin-to-thick part use: The resin can be used for thin or thick laminated parts.
Applications
Wet lamination of thin and thick composite parts.
